Holiday on Lake Garda and Oberammergau

Basic Itinerary

DAY ONE - SATURDAY 28TH AUGUST 2010

UK - Bergamo

Scheduled flight from East Midlands to Bergamo. Transfer to the resort of Desenzano on the southern side of Lake Garda, for a four-night stay. Dinner will be in our hotel on each night of our stay in Desenzano.

DAY TWO - SUNDAY 29TH AUGUST

Lake Garda

This morning Mass will be celebrated in one of the churches in Desenzano. This afternoon there will be an included excursion by boat on Lake Garda.

DAY THREE - MONDAY 30TH AUGUST

Lake Garda

At leisure beside the Lake, or to shop and relax in the town of Desenzano.

DAY FOUR - TUESDAY 31ST AUGUST

Lake Garda (Optional tour to Padua)

After breakfast there will be an optional full-day tour to Padua (£22 per person) by coach, with a guided tour of the Basilica of St Anthony in the morning. The afternoon will be free to explore this lovely city, which boasts not only a fascinating medieval university building but also the Capella degli Scrovegni, which is entirely decorated with glorious Giotto Frescoes.

DAY FIVE - WEDNESDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER

Desenzano - Oberammergau

Early departure from Desenzano. Drive north into Austria to Oberammergau where we check into our accommodation for dinner and a two-night stay.

DAY SIX - THURSDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER

Oberammergau

This morning is at leisure in Oberammergau before enjoying a three-course lunch. The Passion play commences at 2:30pm, the interval is at 5pm, during which we will be served a three-course dinner, before witnessing the second part of the Passion Play which starts at 8pm and finishes at 10:30pm, after which we transfer to our guesthouse.

DAY SEVEN - FRIDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER

Oberammergau - Munich - UK

After breakfast transfer to Munich Airport for our return flight to London Stansted.

Terms of Payment:

A deposit payment of £250 plus a completed booking form is required to secure a booking.
The balance payment is due 29th June 2010.

Scheduled flights: East Midlands – Bergamo, Munich – London Stansted, UK, Italy and Germany airport taxes, 6-nights accommodation in a guesthouse twin-bedded rooms with private facilities as follows: 29th Aug. – 2nd September City Hotel (or similar), Desenzano, 2-nights in Oberammergau with a ticket for the Passion Play. Meal plan: 6 buffet breakfasts, 1 lunch and 6 dinners. All touring and transfers by air-conditioned coach in Italy and Germany/Austria as per the itinerary, Religious services arranged on request, services of a Pax Travel tour manager.
