Holiday on Lake Garda and Oberammergau led by Monsignor Harry Turner

Basic Itinerary

DAY ONE - TUESDAY 15TH JUNE

Luton - Bergamo

Scheduled flight from Luton to Bergamo. Transfer to the resort of Desenzano on the southern side of Laka Garda, for a four-night stay. Dinner will be in our hotel on each night of our stay in Desenzano.

DAY TWO - WEDNESDAY 16TH JUNE

Lake Garda

At leisure beside the lake, or to shop and relax in the town of Desenzano. This afternoon there will be an optional excursion by boat on Lake Garda.

DAY THREE - THURSDAY 17TH JUNE

Lake Garda

At leisure beside the lake, or to shop and relax in the town of Desenzano.

DAY FOUR - FRIDAY 18TH JUNE

Lake Garda or optional tour to Padua

After breakfast there will be an optional tour to Padua (£22 per person) by coach, with a guided tour of the Basilica of St Anthony in the morning. The afternoon will be free to explore this lovely city, which boasts not only a fascinating medieval university building but also the Capella degli Scrovegni, which is entirely decorated with glorious Giotto frescoes.

DAY FIVE - SATURDAY 19TH JUNE

Desenzano - Oberammergau

Early departure from Desenzano. Drive north into Austria to Oberammergau where we check into our accommodation for dinner and a two-night stay.

DAY SIX - SUNDAY 20TH JUNE

Oberammergau

This morning is at leisure in Oberammergau before enjoying a three-course lunch. The Passion Play commences at 2:30pm, the interval is at 5pm, during which we will be served a three-course dinner, before witnessing the second part of the Passion play which starts at 8pm and finishes at 10:30pm, after which we transfer to our guesthouse.

DAY SEVEN - MONDAY 21ST JUNE

Munich Area

After breakfast we transfer to Munich airport for our return flight to London Stansted.

Terms of Payment:

A deposit payment of £250 and a completed booking form are required to book a place on this pilgrimage. The balance payment is due two months before departure.

Tickets for the Passion Play in Oberammergau. 6 nights accommodation in shared twin bedded rooms with private fascilities as follows: City hotel (or similar), Desenzano, Lake Garda 15 - 19 June, Guesthouse accommodation in Oberammergau, 19 - 21 June. Meal plan: 6 continental breakfasts, 1 lunch and 6 dinners. All touring and transfers by air-conditioned coach as per the itinerary.
